Gerddy, my best friend since college, is all grown up and with a whole boyfriend now! We've lived through so much together... from moving over a thousand miles for school to a whole bunch of firsts: first cars, first homes, first boyfriends, and so many more.
Living life with her has been one of the greatest joys of my adulthood. She’s the epitome of love and care, truly one of my closest friends. What a gem.
So when I heard that she and Daniel were getting closer to making things official, my creative brain lit up. What could be more fun than capturing this sweet season in their life? I reached out to her for a creative session, she convinced him, and we got it on the calendar.
We shot these at the end of May, and if you've ever lived in the South, you know that means hot, humid, and sticky weather. But we did it anyway, and it was so worth it.
I wanted to capture the most heartfelt, honest moments between the two of them. So I built the session around the things they enjoy doing together: picnics, sunsets, books, and hanging out at the park. That became the vision, and it came to life beautifully.
We picked a location, showed up, and just had fun. The greenery, the golden sun, the relaxed vibe. It all came together perfectly. Directing them was so easy because they were completely natural together. That’s what I love most about lifestyle photography, capturing the in-between moments. The laughs, the glances, the ease between two people who truly love each other. The kind of photos you look back on and feel just like you did in that moment.
This session quickly became one of my all-time favorites, and I’m so grateful they trusted me to create with them.
I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of Gerddy and Daniel in the future, but for now, enjoy a few of my favorite candids from our session.
